Ganesh Acharya Dismisses Saroj Khan’s Accusations, ‘She Should Come Forward To Help Dancers, CDA Needs Re-Election’

On Friday, it was reported that senior choreographer Saroj Khan had lashed out at Ganesh Acharya and had accused him of dividing Cine Dancers Association (CDA) and also manipulating dancers. She had accused him of forming a new organization, badmouthing CDA all over the industry and using his position to manipulate the dancers. Now, Ganesh Acharya has dismissed these allegations, calling them false, and said that CDA needs re-election. While speaking to ANI, Ganesh Acharya has now narrated his side of the story.
"Saroj ji is speaking wrong. When the CDA was closed why did not she came to help us to open it. Five coordinators were appointed for CDA by taking Rs 15 lakh from them. 217 masters have signed a letter that they do not need coordinators. Do the Federation people know dancing. Do they know who is a good dancer," Ganesh Acharya said to ANI. He then said that Saroj Khan should come forward to help the dancers and that there’s a need for CDA to re-elect. He revealed that the CDA had been shut six months ago after a legal dispute started in 2018. Answering to the accusation of stealing the dancers, he said, “However, Deric Biswas, Zahid Shaikh, Al Fahim Surand Ravi Kanwar reopened it without showing any court orders to do so and filled up the posts without elections. Now, they are pressuring dancers to join the association again." Ganesh Acharya further said that the members of All India Film Television Events Dancers Association (AIFTEDA) would also like to return to CDA but only after a fair election and wages are assured. All of this happened after Ganesh Acharya had alleged CDA of paying less than the mandated wages.
