India is getting ready for Ganesh Chaturthi 2020, a 10-day festival which will begin on Saturday, 22 August 2020, this time under the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though all the festivities till date have been celebrated low-key, Ganesh festival will also follow the same route. Having said that, this also means that we might not get to witness Salman Khan's Ganesh celebration who is known for his extravagant festive celebrations. Every year, Salman Khan celebrates the Ganesh Chaturthi festival with much pomp and enthusiasm. Post his sister Arpita Khan's wedding, the celebrations shifted to her house and we also get to see a bevvy of stars from the industry flocking at her residence to seek blessings, thus, making it a starry affair.
We also get to see Salman and his brothers Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan and other family members dancing to the beats of drums while celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi vehemently. However, not to forget the red colour Ganesh Idols that the Dabangg actor and his sister bring home every year which looks incredibly beautiful. The first time Salman brought home Ganpati was back in 2001 on his sister Arpita's insistence and since then it has become an annual affair as the Khan-daan religiously brings home Bappa every year, leaving everyone mesmerised with the celebration.
Nevertheless, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festivities shall be low-key this year and we shall not see an ocean of humanity flocking the pandals to grab glimpses of huge idols of Lord Ganesha. With this, it is still unknown how Salman who is in his Panvel farmhouse will celebrate the festival this year but let's take a look back at the last five Ganpati celebrations that were observed at the superstar's Galaxy apartment as the Ganesh festival is just around the corners.
