Though not with much pomp and grandeur this year Ganesh festival kickstarted on a low note with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Bollywood celebs taking to their respective social media handles wished their fans on this festivity which kick started from yesterday. Celebs such as Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Kangana Ranaut, Varun Dhawan, Sonali Bendra, Ekta Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Sunny Leone, Hema Malini, Ankita Lokhande and more. All the wishes had expression for excitement and peace with the arrival of Lord Ganesha, it also carried prayers requesting the almighty to get things to normal.
Last couple of month with the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus, has got to live our lives with new norms and limitations to curtail further spread of this virus, as vaccine for the same is still under development. Also while some shared picture of the lord Ganesha idol they welcomed home this year such as Sonali Bendre, few just gave glimpse of their homemade Ganesh idol such as Rajkummar Rao, praying with equal hope in the almighty. Meanwhile, few celebs just extended their wishes on this occasion.

In their social media posts, stars were seen encouraging people to adopt the eco-friendly Ganesh Idol to keep the environment clean.
