Geeta Basra Reveals She Had Two Miscarriages Before Delivering Son Jovan; Says ‘Last Two Years Have Been Traumatic’

Actor Geeta Basra and Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh once again embraced parenthood as they welcomed a baby boy on July 10. Geeta and Harbhajan recently revealed they had kept their son's name - ‘Jovan Veer Singh Plaha’. As the couple is beaming with joy and happiness, Basra recently made a shocking rather more upsetting revelation about her pregnancy phase. While speaking to a daily, Geeta revealed she had two miscarriages before delivering her son Jovan. Though she said the experience was traumatic to her, she still sent across advice for all the expectant mothers out there.
“I want to tell those women who have had miscarriages and lost hope to pick themselves up again. They should not give up and suffer in silence yearning for a child. Yes, a miscarriage can have a terrible effect on you from which you might take a long time to come out. A couple of my friends have had miscarriages. But we as women have to learn to put this behind us in the quickest possible time,” the actor told TOI.
According to the report, the first miscarriage happened in 2019 and the second one in 2020. Both times, she was in her first trimester.
Geeta further stated the last two years had been traumatic for her but she held herself from breaking down. She even went on to say that a woman's hormones after a miscarriage get disrupted and make it extremely difficult to help maintain composure. “I kept myself strong and did not allow that meltdown to happen,” she said.
Announcing the arrival of her second child, Geeta Basra had written, “We thank the Almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy..
