Good Newwz Trailer Launch: Karan Johar Reveals, "I Went To Akshay Kumar For Some Other Big Film, He Told Me 'Usko Side Mein Rakhte Hai, Yeh Banaate Hai'"

Amidst a lot of hasi and mazzak which is usually a part of any Karan Johar-Akshay Kumar event, the ace filmmaker revealed an interesting story about how Kumar came on board for the film. Can you believe Karan had not gone with Good Newwz script but some other project to offer Akshay?
"I had gone to Akshay with some other big film since he is a mega superstar. During the reading, he sat patiently for 2 hours and heard me out. After that, he asked me, 'Aur Kya bana rahe ho?' I told him, 'Aur ek choti picture bana raha hun' and then he asked me, 'woh kya hai?' I hardly narrated him the concept of Good Newwz to him for about 2 minutes and just told him that it is based on a sperm mix-up story. He immediately said, 'Woh badi picture ko side mein rakhte hai, yeh karte hai' I could't believe it that a star like him would agree to it. But Akshay always looks for content," shared Karan.
Good Newwz is based on the story of two couples, Kiara-Diljit and Akshay Kareena, trying to have a baby through a medical treatment. In the process, Diljit's sperms get injected into Kareena and Akshay's into Kiara. Check out the trailer below:
