'Gully Boy’ rapper Dharmesh Parmar, also known as MC Tod Fod, dies at 24
‘Gully Boy’ rapper Dharmesh Parmar, also known as MC Tod Fod, breathed his last at the age of 24. Parmar was a famous Mumbai street rapper who was widely known for his music and Gujrati lyrics. He was the soundtrack artist on Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Siddhant Chaturvedi starrer 2019 blockbuster film Gully Boy. The tragic demise of Dharmesh has left everyone shocked and teary-eyed. The cause of his death has not been revealed yet. Tod Fod’s band Swadesi has confirmed the sad news of his death on Instagram.
Several Bollywood celebrities, including Ranveer Singh and his fans, paid their last respect to Dharmesh on social media. Ranveer shared a photo of Dharmesh on his Insta stories and added a broken heart emoji. Siddhant also mourned the rapper's demise on his Instagram handle. He posted a screenshot of his conversation with Dharmesh and wrote, “RIP bhai" and added a broken-heart emoticon."
Dharmesh’s fans and friends also expressed their grief over his unfortunate death. One user wrote, “All my love brothers. I’m so so sorry to hear this news, he was a true pioneer for the movement and true gentleman.. Sending love and strength.” Another said, “This is such a devastating loss to culture and community. An inspiring musician and leader who was kind and compassionate. This one really hurts. My deepest condolences to the family.”
Confirming the tragic death of the rapper, the band wrote, “It was with this night that @todfod performed his last ever gig at Swadesi Mela. You had to be there to experience it, his thrill his love for playing live music. You are never forgotten, you will always live through with your music. Kabhi sochu kahi chale jane ki dur. Koi thikane bas jau jo na ho jyada mashoor, Jaha le jati rahe mann ko bhaye wo me karu, Aise Jeena rehna kiya mene yahi se shuru -TodFod.”
The last rites of MC Tod Fod were performed by his family on Monday.
