It was just yesterday Amitabh Bachchan was all praises for his son Abhishek Bachchan for his performance in Mani Ratnam’s film Guru. These praiseworthy words came from the megastar as the film clocked 14 years on January 12, 2021, while he agreed with Abhishek’s fans. Now taking to her Instagram is the film’s lead and Abhishek’s better half Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The actress shared a collage of four pictures from the premiere night of the movie 14 years ago.
The power couple looked extremely elegant and poised on the red carpet, also seen in the collage was the film’s director Mani Ratnam. Abhishek looked dapper in a black suit, Aishwarya looked pretty in a shimmering light blue saree. She captioned her post as, “On this day... 14 years... GURU FOREVER...” This premiere was hosted in New York, post this premiere the couple's life changed forever, with Abhishek proposing to her for marriage. Back then the actor was filming for his yet another movie in New York.

In one of his interviews, Abhishek Bachchan revealed about proposing to his now wife, he said, "I was filming in New York for a movie. And, I used to stand on the balcony of my hotel room and wish that, 'One day, wouldn't it be nice if I was together with her, married. Years later, we were there for the premiere of Guru. After the premiere, we were back in the hotel. So, I took her to the very same balcony, and I asked her to marry me."
