On his 59th birthday, Aamir Khan chose to celebrate in a unique way by spending time with the paparazzi. Joining him in the festivities was his ex-wife Kiran Rao, along with the team from her newly released film Laapataa Ladies. The Bollywood superstar kicked off his special day by meeting with media personnel, cutting his birthday cake in their presence, and expressing gratitude for all the well-wishes. While addressing the media, the birthday boy said, “Thank you for coming every year to celebrate my birthday. This year, I am going to celebrate with Kiran ji and the team of Laapataa Ladies. They have made the beautiful film under Aamir Khan Productions. Our production house has been functioning since 23 years, starting with Lagaan (2001). Laapataa Ladies is a film that we are most proud of. It’s such a fundamental film on human nature, emotions, family. On the work front, Aamir Khan, as a producer, is venturing into Lahore 1947, a film headlined by Sunny Deol and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Joining the ensemble cast are Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol, and Ali Fazal. While this collaboration marks the first-time partnership between Aamir and Sunny, their paths have crossed before in iconic box-office clashes, where both emerged victorious as formidable competitors when Gadar and Lagaan released together.
