Happy Birthday Dharmendra: Here's Why The Veteran Has Stopped Celebrating His Special Day

One of the most bankable and popular actors Bollywood has ever seen, Dharmendra turns 84 today. Just a month ago, the actor was reported to be down with dengue and prayers and messages for his speedy recovering were showered on him by his fans. Today as the star turns a year older, he expressed that he is no more fond of celebrating his birthday with much pomp and grandeur. And this reason of the actor has got an emotional connect to it.
The actor in conversation with Bombay Times, revealed that does not celebrate his birthday from the time his mother passed away. Reviving about his birthday celebration he said, “My mother used to celebrate my birthdays with a lot of love and enthusiasm. She used to make this day special. Woh bahut pyaar se mera birthday manaati thi. After she passed away, I don’t feel the same. As he recently recuperated from Dengue, the actor thanked the almighty and his fans for their blessings and love. He said, “By God’s grace, I am well. Aap sabki blessings aur mohabbat ka asar hai. I want to thank all my fans who wish well for me.”
The actor last made a public appearance when he was promoting his grandson, Karan Deol’s debut movie Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas.
It is also reported of the actor’s Chupke Chukpe’s remake is on cards and versatile actor Rajkummar Rao stepping into his shoes.
