In an old interview with Aaj Tak, Manoj was asked about his net worth. Shocked that reports claimed it was around Rs 170 crores, he dismissed them. He expressed how he could have such a high net worth after doing films like Aligarh and Gali Guleiyan. The 55-year-old added that he earns enough to secure a comfortable old age life for himself and his wife as well as a future for his daughter. Quoted by Pinkvilla, The Family Man actor said, “Baap re baap! Aligarh aur Gali Guleiyan karke? Bajpayee went on to express how he isn’t from South Mumbai or even from Bandra. He still lives in Andheri, Lokhandwala. While he is not entirely a part of the main Hindi film industry, he has chosen to sit on the boundary of the industry. He said, “Main south Mumbai ka nahi hoon, na Bandra ka hoon. Main abhi bhi Lokhandwala, Andheri mein rehta hun. Main hamesha kehta hoon ke main cinema, iss film industry ke beech mein nahi hun. Maine ye choose kiya tha ki main film industry ki boundary pe baitha hun. Ye mera chunav raha hai.”
On the work front, Manoj Bajpayee recently completed 30 years in Bollywood. He was last seen in Silence 2. He will be next seen in Bhaiyya Ji, which is his 100th film. The actor has Raj and DK’s web-series The Family Man in his pipeline.
