Post a private court marriage, the duo threw a lavish reception in Mumbai at Taj Mahal Palace. After 7 years of marriage, the couple still stands strong together and are blessed with a son Taimur Ali Khan. Kareena left everyone in shock when she decided to move into Saif Ali Khan’s home to be in a live-in relationship with the Nawab of Pataudi. Back then it was unheard of and celebrities never came out in open about it. Since then, until their marriage in 2012 and now, Kareena and Saif were among the most-loved and spoken about couples in Bollywood. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s love story started from the sets of film Tashan when the actress charmed everyone with her zero size. Though the film released in 2008, the shoot started in 2007 and so did their love story. Recently, the actress poured her heart out to Humans of Bombay and revealed how she used to go on long bike rides with Saif Ali Khan for some alone time. The actress also shared on the talk show, Look Who’s Talking with Niranjan Iyengar how she was the first one to initiate her relationship with Saif and confess her love to the actor. The actress also revealed she told Saif how crazy she was about him which left him in a shock about how that could have happened.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s relationship was a huge thing until the stars confirmed it all. Finally, in 2007 Saif admitted dating Kareena Kapoor at the Manish Malhotra event to an NDTV journalist and ended all the speculation about his new romantic interest in Bebo. Saif was uninhibited in saying that 'Ya I am dating her'



Around the same time, Saif Ali Khan in a bold move got a Kareena tattoo on his left arm. He got her name inked in devnagri + English font and that confirmed his seriousness towards Kapoor.

After dating for 7 years and a live-in relationship, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan got married in 2012 in Bandra. They had a court marriage at their home and held a lavish wedding party at The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. The wedding party was graced by many Bollywood biggies and Kareena Kapoor carried on the Pataudi legacy by wearing her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore’s wedding lehenga for her wedding.



The couple were blessed with son Taimur Ali Khan on December 20, 2016, and have been in a happy place since then. While Saif and Kareena have a happy family of their own now, Kareena has managed her work and personal life quite well. Post her marriage to Saif Ali Khan, Kareena also revealed that she will take on the Khan surname, but will continue to follow Hinduism.
