Hathras Gang Rape Case: Anushka Sharma Is Devastated As The Victim Passes Away; Calls For Strictest Punishment For Barbaric Men
Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram stories to express anger and disappointment over Hathras Gang Rape Case

On September 14, reportedly, a 19-year-old Uttar Pradesh girl was brutally gang raped by four men in Hathras. After battling for life for over two weeks, the girl succumbed to her injuries. Reportedly, her spinal cord and neck were broken, and her tongue was cut. As the news of her demise made it to the headlines, many celebrities took to their respective social media accounts to express anger and disappointment over the incident. Anushka Sharma too took to her Instagram stories to express grief.
Anushka on Instagram called for the strictest punishment for the culprits and wrote, "The horrific story of Hathras gang rape has devastated me..I sincerely hope that strictest punishment is given to the barbaric men who have carried out such a horrific, inhuman act on a young life and caused her family irreparable pain."
Apart from her, stars like Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Kangana Ranaut, Farhan Akhtar, Huma Qureshi, Kriti Sanon and many others also took to their social media accounts to react to the brutal incident. All of them called for the harshest punishments for the culprits. Akshay wrote, "Angry & Frustrated!Such brutality in #Hathras gangrape.When will this stop?Our laws & their enforcement must be so strict that the mere thought of punishment makes rapists shudder with fear!Hang the culprits.Raise ur voice to safeguard daughters & sisters-its the least we can do."
