HC Orders 4 Cuts In Akshay’s Jolly LLB 2, Pahlaj Nihalani Furious!
Interestingly, REEL life courtroom drama has changed to REAL life courtroom drama. The makers of Akshay Kumar’s film have now challenged the HC's decision in the Supreme Court
Just a few days before its release, Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 has run into a legal trouble! The tagline of the film- State Vs Jolly LLB has rather come true!
As per the report submitted by the 3-member panel, 4 cuts have been suggested, including the scene where the protagonist (Akshay Kumar), who plays a lawyer, is seen jumping on the dais. After which he signals his client to throw a shoe at the judge.
In case you are wondering that how did this real courtroom drama began, then here’s the reason- A Nanded-based advocate filed a petition with the Bombay High Court and mentioned a few objectionable scenes in the courtroom drama's trailer and demanded that the word 'LLB' be dropped from the title.
Following the petition, the High Court then ordered the formation of a three-member panel to study the 'objections'. The makers have already challenged the HC's decision in the Supreme Court as the film’s release (February 9, Friday) is just around the corner and they don't want anything to delay the release.

However, this entire courtroom drama has left one person furious- Censor Board chief Pahlaj Nihalani. While talking to a leading daily on this development, Pahlaj said, “We are a responsible body and know how to do our job. We wouldn't have cleared the movie if we felt their intention was to disrespect anybody. It is a work of fiction, not a documentary, and made for the sake for entertainment. I don't see why there is an issue if the film runs a disclaimer at the beginning.”
