The legendary actor, who was hospitalized past few weeks, he breathed his last at the Hurkison Das Hospital this morning
Veteran actor, Vinod Khanna passed away this morning. He was 70 and was reportedly battling with cancer for years.
The ‘70s superstar was recuperating at the Hurkison Das Hospital (Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre) in Girgaon and earlier this month reports claimed that he was doing rather poorly.
Vinod Khanna was hospitalized on April 1 but his family kept the news under wraps for four days. Then, son Rahul Khanna told a news agency that “severe dehydration” caused the trip to the hospital. But Vinod Khanna’s health grabbed national headlines on April 6 after a photo, which showed him dressed in hospital scrubs, went viral.
Official statement from hospital says, "Veteran actor and Member of Parliament Mr. Vinod Khanna, who was admitted to the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital breathed his last at 11.20 am due to advanced bladder carcinoma."
