Hema Malini Speaks Out On Farmers' Protests, Says, ‘They Don’t Even Know What They Want And What’s The Problem With Farm Laws’

Thousands of farmers in the North of India have been protesting against the new farm laws for nearly 50 days. As the farmers protested, many Bollywood celebrities such as Sonu Sood, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Mika Singh, Diljit Dosanjh and others extended their support to the farmers. On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut slammed those who were supporting the protesting farmers. Now, actor-turned-politician Hema Malini talks about the protesting farmers and says that the farmers protesting against the Centre’s agriculture laws don’t even know what they want and what the problem is, with the three laws.
Hema Malini was of the opinion that the farmers were following someone else’s instructions and themselves don’t know what they want or what the problem with the farm laws is. ANI reported Hema Malini saying on Tuesday, “They (agitating farmers) do not even know what they want and what is the problem with the farm laws, which shows that they are doing this because someone asked them to do it.”
ANI quoted Hema Malini saying, “It is good that the Supreme Court has stayed the laws. This will hopefully calm the situation. Farmers are not willing to come to a consensus even after so many talks.”

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court stayed the implementation of the farm laws until further orders. The court also formed a four-member committee of experts to listen to the farmers’ grievances as well as the views of the Government on the farm laws, and make recommendations.
