When #MeToo movement hit the Industry last year, names of many Bollywood actors, producer and directors were called out. One such name is Sajid Khan, who was directing Housefull 4 at that time. When his name popped up in #MeToo list and 5 budding actresses revealed how they were sexually exploited by him, he was asked to step down. The filmmaker was called out by 5 women from the Industry. The rest film was then directed by Farhad Samj. As the trailer of Housefull 4 dropping today, Akshay Kumar was quizzed about any possibility of working with Sajid Khan in future.

During the event, when Akshay Kumar was asked if Kumar will work with Sajid Khan again, he told a reporter, “I don’t know what has happened exactly and if he’s acquitted with everything, then after that sure I will work with him."

When Sajid Khan’s was called out during  #MeToo, it was reported that Akshay Kumar had cancelled Housefull 4 shoot. The actor had also posted a long note in which he had written, “I will not work with any proven offenders and all those who have been subjugated to harassment.” Twinkle Khanna had also tweeted, “Appalled hearing multiple incidents of harassment and it is truly horrific to hear what these women have been through. Everyone involved in Housefull needs to take a firm stance on this issue. This cannot go on.”

At the same event, when Akshay Kumar was asked, “You are a Rajput in the film, do think you there’s anything that would offend the Karni Sena, he told reporters, “Please aap rehne dona, aapko shanti achi nahi lagti? Aisa koi problem nahi hai madam okay? Toh main aapse darkhast karta, hoon haath jodke ki aisa kuch na kare. Acchi bhali aapki industry chal rahi hai, aapne zabardasti kuch karna hai yeh sab. Kya faida?”

Well from the looks of it, Housefull 4 looks like on roller coaster ride that is set to release on Diwali 2019.
