Last night, we told you that we have had a long chat with Priyanka Chopra's mother, Dr Madhu Chopra. Soon, you will obviously get to see and hear everything that she told us.
But here is something that we can't hold back anymore.
When the chat veered to social media which has netizens who need to grow up- a classic and most recent example of their regressive thinking being Priyanka who got trolled for not wearing an Indian outfit while she met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi- Priyanka's mom did not duck the question.
Mrs Chopra started off by saying, "Frankly, the controversy was so unfortunate. Priyanka was demurely dressed. Neck was covered, knees were covered.

Look, Priyanka had to go directly for the Baywatch premiere after meeting Modi and Modi had to meet the German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Both were dressed for their respective occasion. So, going by that, I don't think that Priyanka had dooned anything wrong.
Surely, she couldn't have told Modi 'Gimme 2 min, Let me go, I'll get into a saree and come back'.
She was not stopped by Modi's men. If there was some protocol of a dress code, I am sure they wouldn't have let her in. But nobody from the PM's team told her that she was inappropriately dressed."

Mrs Chopra is also amused by the fact that nobody then wanted to know what Priyanka and Modi spoke during their meeting. "They were busy only trolling her. Yeh trollers ka toh ek khandaan ban gaya hai. Two global entities meet and all that the social media wanted to know is why my daughter wore a skirt. I just couldn't understand, neither did Priyanka. Taange toh achchi hain Priyanka ki."
Tell us, Mrs Chopra. What did Priyanka and Modi speak, Spotboye.com asked? "They spoke largely on how the image of our nation can be bettered. Both are working towards that, they both want to put India as a progressive nation on the world map."

And it all started from there. Priyanka Chopra was slut-shammed for showing her legs in front of PM Modi. Trollers, who obviously have no sense and just want to troll celebrities for no rhyme or reason, started accusing her for disrespecting the PM by wearing a short dress.
