On Sunday evening, the Prime Minister of India – Narendra Modi – brewed a storm across the internet, after he addressed the Indian-American crowd of around 50,000 people at ‘Howdy, Modi!’, an event organised to celebrate the bilateral ties between India and the USA. Narendra Modi was accompanied by US President Donald Trump, who couldn’t stop raving praises for his ‘friend from India.’ There also came a time when PM Modi took over the crowd with chants like ‘Ab Ki Baar, Trump Sarkaar,’ showing his clear support for Trump.

This association between the two of the most powerful world leaders it indeed is a matter of pride for all the Indians out there. And with the Howdy, Modi! event turned out to be a huge success, a lot of people, including our Bollywood celebrities, took to their social media accounts and praised the two leaders. Salman Khan was among the first ones to react. Sharing a picture of PM Modi and Trump from the summit, he wrote, “Way to go PM Modi and Prez Trump for a great association between the 2 nations. . . @narendramodi @realDonaldTrump.” Check it out:

Akshay Kumar, on the other hand, wrote, "‘Individually we are one drop. Together we are an ocean.’ A sea of people it was at the #HowdyModi event. India has truly arrived Globally! An absolute delight to watch PM @narendramodi Ji saying ‘All is well’ in multiple regional languages truly representative of 1.3B Indians!"

Anupam Kher, who is a staunch Modi supporter, wrote, "Everything about #HowdyModi was SPECTACULAR. Never have I seen such bonding between two countries. Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who recently returned from NYC post his cancer-treatment, expressed his happiness on being a proud Indian. “Rishi Kapoor wrote, "#howdymodi “Go Modi” - “Go Trump” - Houston, US. Proud of our being. Proud of the community. Proud of India” wrote Kapoor.


Anil Kapoor, too, expressed his views on the big event, by writing "In a spectacular display of statesmanship, @narendramodi Ji has captured the minds & hearts of the American people! This is a proud moment for both countries as we walk hand in hand & shoulder to shoulder! #HowdyModi"
