A source close to Hrithik Roshan says he will fight against Kangana Ranaut till the end and that he wants "a proper closure to the case."
Hrithik Roshan’s long 4-year old legal battle with Kangana Ranaut has now been transferred from Mumbai’s Cyber Cell to the Crime Branch.
A source close to Hrithik tells me he will fight it till the end. “Hrithik wants a proper closure to the case. He waited patiently for the legal battle to move forward while everyone presumed that the case had been buried and forgotten, just like 95 percent of the other lawsuits in Bollywood. However Hrithik is made of sterner stuff. His reputation is not negotiable to him. He will see this sordid matter to its logical conclusion specially since his family has suffered because of what happened.”
In 2016 Hrithik had said to me in an email interview, “I am not too sure if the truth is palatable , let alone acceptable .When the truth is too bizarre, people rather live with the comfortable lie because it makes us feel safer knowing that the world we live in is still the way we knew it. When the truth threatens to go against the popular sentiment, it is always at first refuted or at best ignored. Even if it's staring at you in the face. This is what I have learnt through my experience.”
About the legal battle Hrithik had said to me, “I feel a sense of responsibility .If today it can happen with me then tomorrow it could happen with any one of you. The truth needs to be out there so that we as a community may learn how to handle it better in a more dignified manner if at all it happens again. The character and identity of an individual is what we all value most. My character is just as valuable to me as yours is to you. But the idea here is not to explain, complain or clear my name. Let me make one thing clear. I have nothing against any of the others involved in this case, not Kangana, not the imposter, whoever he/she is. I have literally been a bystander to the this entire mess.”
