After making a mark for herself in the Telugu, Tamil and Kannada cinema in a career that has crossed the milestone of a decade, Pranitha Subhash is still finding new things to do. As a part of it, she is now ready to enter into the Hindi Film Industry in the coming 30 days, and not just with one film but two.
The actress will be first seen in Priyadarshan’s comeback to Hindi cinema after eight years, Hungama 2, which is a spiritual successor to the filmmaker’s 2003 comedy from the same name. The sequel also features Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Meezaan and Paresh Rawal in the lead, and will be releasing on July 23 on Disney+ Hotstar.
After that, Pranitha will be seen opposite Ajay Devgn as his Marathi wife in Bhuj: The Pride Of India, whose trailer just released today. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Ammy Virk, Nora Fatehi and Sharad Kelkar and tells the heroic story of the 1971 India-Pakistan war, when IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, played by Ajay, with his team, reconstructed the IAF airbase with the help of 300 women from a local village. The film is eyeing an August 13 release on the same platform.
Right now, Pranitha is busy promoting both the films and she will be seen in two completely different parts in both. Hungama 2 marks Shilpa’s return to acting after 14 years and in an earlier conversation with Spotboye.com, Pranitha had insisted that her co-actress hasn’t aged a day and the audience will wonder in the film that who’s younger.
Ask Pranitha about that one thing that she learnt or observed with Shilpa that she’d like to imbibe in her life and pat comes the reply, “The fact that she doesn’t eat after 7 pm is something I observed in her. I am someone who just binges on junk till 12 in the morning, so that is something I observed in Shilpa’s lifestyle that I’d like imbibe in my life as well.”
