During the IFFI 2023 event, Sunny engaged in a conversation recounting the tough times he faced after the success of Gadar. He disclosed a challenging phase marked by a scarcity of work that persisted for many years. Collaborating with directors like Anil Sharma, Rajkumar Santoshi, and Rahul Rawail, he shed light on the struggle to find compelling scripts and worthwhile projects during that tumultuous period in his career. As the Apne actor was done talking about his acting journey, Rajkumar Santoshi further added, "I believe that the industry has not done justice to Sunny's talent. But God has done justice." The director's statement left Sunny Deol in tears. After a hiatus of 27 years, the dynamic duo of Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi, celebrated for their successful collaborations in blockbuster hits such as Ghayal, Damini, and Ghatak Lethal are poised to reunite for the upcoming movie Lahore 1947. This highly anticipated project, backed by producer Aamir Khan, marks their much-awaited comeback together and has sparked considerable excitement and interest across Bollywood circles.
