Filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s upcoming superhero flick Immortal Ashwatthamam, starring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan, is one of the most highly- anticipated movies. The film has been in the news ever since its inception. As per the latest report in Pinkvilla, the makers are going all out to get a huge ensemble on board. The report says Suniel Shetty has been approached to play a key role in the movie, which is based on King Ashwatthama from The Mahabharata.
The portal quoted a source close to the development as saying, “The Immortal Ashwatthama is among the costliest films to be made in Bollywood and the makers are going all out to get a huge ensemble on board the film. Recently, director Aditya Dhar initiated a conversation with Suniel Shetty for a very important role in the film, and the actor too has shown keen interest in coming on board. The talks are in very nascent stages at the moment.”
Although nothing has been confirmed, more meetings of Suniel with the director, Aditya and producer, Ronnie Screwvala are expected to take place in the coming few days. The makers are planning to lock the entire ensemble by mid of August so that the movie goes on floors from September.
The Immortal Ashwatthama will reportedly be shot in India, Iceland and UAE. Vicky Kaushal has undergone a tremendous physical transformation to get into the skin of his role. This will be the first time the Uri actor will share the silver space with the Simmba actress.
