Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali is known to be a very humble man and despite directing many hit films like Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal, Tamasha, Rockstar, he hasn’t let his success get to his head. His down to earth attitude is lauded by his fans and he is often spotted interacting with common people and doing normal things we do! While the filmmaker is not an avid social media user, his posts are quite interesting and will give you a glimpse of the places he travels around. His social media feed itself tells a story and now, his latest post on Facebook has garnered a lot of praises for his humility.
In Imtiaz Ali’s latest post on Facebook, the filmmaker pens down an endearing encounter with an auto rickshaw driver. The story goes, “night walk in the rain! the auto rickshaw came along and asked if I wanted a ride. I refused, he asked again - it was raining and I was without cover. I had checked my wallet, I smiled at him and said I had no money. He looked at me and asked me to sit in, he would drop me without money. I asked him to carry on and get some other client and do his job. He said it was raining and I would get wet. He asked me to sit in, he would drop me. I sat and he drove. Soon a car stopped the rickshaw - it was a couple who wanted a selfie with me. The autorickshaw guy looked at me. He asked me if I was Imtiaz Ali. He said he would want a selfie with me. I told him I would want a selfie with him as well.” He has posted the selfie along with the rickshaw driver.
This post has left Imtiaz Ali’s fans in awe of him. Comments soon flooded in and people praised the filmmaker for his humility and down- to- earth attitude.
Meanwhile, Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film is titled Aaj Kal and will star Sara Ali Khan opposite Kartik Aaryan. Recently, Sara and Kartik wrapped up shooting for the film and it is set to release on Valentine’d Day, i.e, February 14, 2020.
