Of late, the Bhatt family has been at the end of severe backlash and online hatred on social media. After Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, there had been outrage on social media as debate about nepotism was once again triggered. Alia Bhatt, her parents Mahesh Bhatt- Soni Razdan, and sister Shaheen Bhatt have faced the wrath of all the fury online. Recently, Alia’s sister Shaheen Bhatt shared screenshots of death/rape threats they have been receiving, and amid all the hatred, Alia had turned off comments on social media.
Now, in the midst of all this, Alia Bhatt has revealed who helps maintain her calm in every storm. No, it’s not her sister Shaheen or beau Ranbir Kapoor. It's actually her furry friend Edward! Alia took to her Instagram and shared an adorable picture of herself with her pet cat Edward. While Edward is sleeping, Alia Bhatt rests her face on her cat, as she smiles for the camera. In her caption, she revealed this is how she maintains her calm, and wrote, “my calm in every storm…,” along with a sun and an umbrella emoji.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan, her sister Shaheen Bhatt as well as her half-sister Pooja Bhatt took to social media to write about the online abuse they have been getting. Soni Razdan tweeted, “@instagram I do hope you’re reading this and taking some note of it. Because it really gets to the root of the issue. So easy na to let the abusers off the hook. To let yourself off the hook. To let the onus fall on the abused to take action to protect themselves. It’s basically and fundamentally ALL WRONG.”
On the work front, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Karan Johar’s multi-starrer Takht. She will also be seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 along with Aditya Roy Kapur.
