Biopics are the flavour of the season. And yet another one joins the list.
Hansal Mehta has announced that he will be making a biopic on the late Sanjay Gandhi.
The movie will be based on Vinod Mehta's book on the dynamic politician titled The Sanjay Story. Prior to Vinod's demise, the rights to the book were acquired to be made into a film.
Hansal will helm it next year after he completes Simran with Kangana Ranaut.
We told you how Vidya Balan had been approached to play Indira Gandhi. While the modalities are still being worked out on that film, this will be the first feature film made on any member of the Gandhi family.
