Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are set to tie the knot today, December 9. The couple's wedding will be taking place at Six Senses Fort Barwara, Rajasthan. So far, Katrina and Vicky have reportedly celebrated their sangeet, mehendi and haldi ceremony. Several pictures and videos of the wedding venue have been going viral on social media.
The Six Senses Fort Barwara has been lit up and recently a video of the venue went viral on social media. The leaked video shows a group of dancers performing on the song 'Khwaja Mere Khwaja' from Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Jodha Akbar. Originally owned by a Rajasthani Royal Family, the lavish hotel is located near the Chauth ka Barwara Mandir Temple. The property is 70 years old and it boasts of contemporary Rajasthani architecture with state of the art facilities. A picture shared on its Instagram page gives a glimpse of the garden adorned with a daybed and swing seat.
According to a report in Siasat.com, groom Vicky Kaushal will stay in the Raja mansingh suite, while bride Katrina Kaif will be staying at the Rani Padmavati suite. Another picture shows chairs, chandeliers and we're totally loving it!
According to a report in BollywoodLife, it was Katrina who chose Rajasthan as their wedding destination. A source was quoted as saying, "Katrina wanted to get married in a pakka Maharani style, adorned with the finest traditional Indian jewellery and bridal wear. She has been mesmerized by the culture of Rajasthan. It was a Rajasthani wedding that she had attended as a guest a few years ago and the grandeur of it all remained on her mind. She always knew that when she gets married, it will be in a similar fashion."
