Into The Wild With Bear Grylls: Ajay Devgn Says, ‘It Is Tough Losing Your Parents,’ As He Speaks About His Father Veeru Devgan’s Death
Ajay Devgn’s father Veeru Devgan passed away in 2019 due to a cardiac arrest
On October 12, 2021, makers of Discovery’s adventure show Into The Wild With Bear Grylls unveiled the trailer featuring Bollywood’s ace actor Ajay Devgn. Going into the wilds and taking up the challenges, was a treat to Ajay Devgn’s fans to watch him explore the untapped territory in his career. In the latest promo, he spoke about losing his father, Veeru Devgn and also mentioned how it is often too late when we begin to understand them.
Ajay Devgn’s father, Veeru Devgn was a renowned stunt artiste, he passed at the age of 77 in the year 2019 due to a cardiac arrest. Ajay speaking about his father’s death said, “It is tough losing your parents. Because in the first 20 years of your life, you don’t care for them. You think they are stupid. They don’t know anything. You know everything. And by the time you have children, you start realizing what a parent actually is or what they must have done. And sometimes it gets too late also.”
He also added, “He was suffering from Alzheimer's and a lot of injuries because of the stunts. He had to go through a glass once when he was young, and he had 45 stitches on his head because that time glass break was real glass break.”
Associated with some iconic films in his career, he went on to get recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Zee Cine Awards in 2016.
Prior to Ajay, Akshay Kumar and south superstar Rajinikanth had featured on the show. Also in 2019, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi had featured in the show. Into The Wild With Bear Grylls episode featuring Ajay will premiere on October 22 on Discovery Plus.
