From sporting a buzz cut in Omkara to flaunting a strand of white hair in Bazaar, Saif Ali Khan's various look always manages to impress us. And it seems like Saif is all set to excite us with his look from his upcoming film Jawaani Jaaneman too. In the film, the actor will be seen essaying the role of a father. One might assume him to sport a salt-and-pepper look and facial buzz but his stylist Hakim Aalim has to say otherwise.
While talking to Mid-Day, Saif Ali Khan's hairstylist Aalim said, "Saif can pull off a lot of hairstyles, so, working with him is easy. Over the last five years, he hasn't sported a hairstyle like this. He has a young face, and a spunky spirit, so we decided to go for a faded beard, with short spikes on top. It reminds people of him from older times, which is why they find it appealing. He looks 10 years younger; cool and sexy."
His stylist also talks about how he sets Saif's look in each film of his. He said, "When working on films like Salaam Namaste and Omkara, he became [my] inspiration. But, for this film, we needed something fresh. Also, Saif has an intrinsic style. He doesn't need many frills or even a stylist."
He further added, "We considered giving him tattoos and earrings too, apart from a thick beard. But, during a final meeting at a suburban hotel, we made a sketch of the look, and finalized this."
Yet, he promises, there are more surprises to his look. "There will be a few surprises, even in terms of the look. There are a few more, which I can't reveal. I will travel to London to be on the sets, and create something on the spot."
Well, after Aalim's quotes, we are more than excited to see his much younger look. Are you as excited as we are?
The film also marks the debut of Pooja Bedi's daughter Alaia Furniturewalla.
