IPL 2019 Finale: Bharat Pair, Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif Pose With Brett Lee
Yesterday, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif took part in Indian Premiere League 2019’s final match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, to promote their upcoming flick Bharat. For a special segment, the actors were joined by the former cricketer, Brett Lee.

Taking to Twitter, the Australian cricketer shared a picture with the Bharat pair and captioned it, “Lovely to see you both! Good luck with the new film. Out June 5th @BeingSalmanKhan #Bharat #katrinakaif  @WhoSunilGrover @Bharat_TheFilm”

The pictures are from the pre-match show where the trio got together and hosted special segment during the final match of IPL, last night. Ditching the regular marketing strategies, Salman and Katrina featured in various promos as well.

Besides former cricketer, the official social media handle of Star Sports India also shared a picture and captioned it, “Not too long before Bharat stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif join forces with Brett Lee on #MarutiSuzukiCricketLIVE!”

Before promoting the film on IPL finale, the CEO of Bharat’s production house, Reel Life Production Pvt, Nikhil Namit had spoken about their strategies on the show. He had told Bollywood Hungama, “It’s like our strategy of having the Bharat trailer attached with Avengers: Endgame – the biggest Hollywood film, to get maximum eyeballs on the movie screens. It worked and now the next step is television and what can be bigger than the IPL? We don’t want to go the usual route of promoting Bharat through the usual publicity and marketing methods. Integrating IPL, which garners millions of viewers, with Bharat is an exciting way to promote the movie.”

In case if you have missed yesterday’s match, Mumbai Indians defeated Chennai Super Kings by one run and won the trophy for the fourth time.

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat also stars Disha Patani, Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Grover. The film is an official adaptation of the 2014 South Korean movie Ode To My Father. Touted to be 2019’s one of the biggest films, Bharat will hit the screens on Eid, June 5.
