Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan got married to her longtime boyfriend and fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare in a beautiful white ceremony on Wednesday. Their marriage has been the talk of the town for many reasons. From the groom running to the wedding venue and signing their marriage certificate in gym shorts and vest to their mehendi, sangeet and pajama party hosted at the Taj Aravali Resort, Udaipur in Rajasthan, the couple enjoyed their wedding festivities to the fullest and completed the ceremony by hosting a ‘Christian sytle wedding’.
Videos of the couple’s white wedding are now going viral on social media, which has left the netizens feeling irked. They have taken to their social media handles to lash out at the newlyweds and their family members. While many have pointed out that they just did the ceremony as a fashion trend, others questioned if anyone in their family even followed Christianity for them to get married like that. In a video posted by Viral Bhayani on Instagram, the couple is walking down, the aisle with Ira holding a beautiful flower bouquet. Taking to the comment section of the post, one wrote, “aamir khan muslim hai hindu hai ya christian hai or dhula be pagal.” Another wrote, “Carpet kya he lgaya h yar isse ache se to gharwale he lga dete.” Other one wrote, “Wait a minute. They did nigah first then Mehndi, Haldi & Sangeet and now christain wedding?” One commented, “I don’t understand….they do Christian wedding just for a trend ? Clearly none of the groom family or brides family follows Christianity then why is that for ??! Jus for the trend ?!” Another commented, “Ya kon sa daram hai kis daram ki shadi hai kon log hain ya bie kuch samaj he nhi aare kya shadi hai ya naa ya Hindu hain na Muslims na Christian.” Another said, “Ek dharm follow krlo. But proper rituals k sath.”
Well, talking about their upcoming ceremonies, the couple is all set to return to Mumbai and host a reception for all of the people that they know. If reports are to be believed many known Bollywood celebrities will be marking their presence at the reception. The reception reportedly be held on January 13 at NMACC.
