Is Akshay Kumar Joining Politics? Hear It From The Khiladi Himself!
This morning, Akshay Kumar surprised everyone with his tweet that suggested he is getting into an unknown and uncharted territory. This sudden confession had many of his followers speculating that he is stepping into politics and contesting the General Elections of 2019.

Akshay had tweeted, “Getting into an unknown and uncharted territory today. Doing something I have never done before. Excited and nervous both. Stay tuned for updates.”


This one tweet by the actor was enough to spread rumours around his ambitions of entering politics. But, these are just mere speculations and there’s no truth to them whatsoever. The actor denying these rumours, tweeted again, “Grateful for all the interest shown in my previous tweet but just clarifying in light of some wild speculation, I am not contesting elections.”


Speaking of his films, of late, Akshay has been doing movies on social causes namely PadMan, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and he is also seen in ads on menstrual hygiene, anti-smoking and traffic safety rules.


On his upcoming projects, the actor has Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi that will see him teaming up with his Namastey London co-star, Katrina Kaif after a period of 9 years. Apparently, actresses like Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde were also in the race for the female lead, but all the rumours died down when the makers did an official announcement this morning.


Apart from this film, Akshay also has Housefull 4 that has an ensemble cast comprising of Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde, followed by Good News with Kareena Kapoor Khan.
