Sandeep Reddy Vanga reveals if Ranbir Kapoor's character in Animal is similar to Kabir Singh
Ranbir Kapoor is currently shooting for Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra in Varanasi. Several pictures of the actor and Alia Bhatt went viral on social media. Besides Brahmastra, Ranbir also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal. Fans are equally excited for that film. Recently, SS Rajamouli, who is promoting RRR, sat down for a chat with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and asked him about the Ranbir starrer Animal.
SS Rajamouli asked if Ranbir's character in Animal is violent as compared to his earlier characters Arjun Reddy or Kabir Singh. Sandeep said, "There's nothing similar between Ranbir's character in Animal and Kabir Singh."
When Rajamouli asked him, "Since you have named the film Animal, it gives a sense that Ranbir's character would be violent. The audience is thinking like this, including me." To this, he said, "There's violence, but the characters are not the same." He further added, "I used to ask my ADs if there are shades of Kabir Singh or Arjun Reddy in Animal. But no, the plot and characters are different. The only common thread between both films is that they are character-driven stories."
For the uninitiated, apart from Ranbir Kapoor, Animal also stars Parineeti Chopra, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. The crime drama is all set to hit the theatres next year.
Talking about Brahmastra, it also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna. The movie is slated to release in September this year. It is the first time Ranbir and Alia are sharing screen space together on the big screen. Fans of the couple are beyond excited.
