Jackie Shroff’s Wife Ayesha RECALLS When Family Was Facing Bankruptcy; Says, ‘We lost Our House, I Started Sleeping On Floor'
Jackie Shroff’s wife Ayesha Shroff recalls the time when her family was facing bankruptcy and they lost their house to pay back the debt
Jackie Shroff’s wife and producer Ayesha Shroff recently recalled the time when her family was facing bankruptcy. During her appearance on ‘Koffee With Karan’, Ayesha got emotional as she opened up about how Jackie decided to sell their house to pay back the money. She revealed that after her film Boom failed due to piracy, her husband put his house on lease in the process of paying back the debt but they eventually lost their house.
Ayesha, wiping off her tears, told Karan Johar, “I made a movie called Boom some years ago.That movie meant a lot to me. But unfortunately, the movie got pirated and distributors backed off. They refused to take delivery of the film. My husband stood with me and said, ‘It’s our family honour. We will release the movie. I am with you.” She added, “We put our house on lease and released the film. Of course, we lost the house. When Tiger joined the films, the first thing he told me was, ‘I am going to buy that house for you. That meant so much to me rather than big diamonds and declaration of love. The star wife revealed that her son Tiger fulfilled his promise and bought a house for his mother. Earlier, while speaking with GQ, Ayesha Shroff had talked about going through a difficult time and mentioned it was heartbreaking to see the furniture, her mother’s artwork, lamps and things she had grown up seeing around getting sold off. “Then my bed went. I started to sleep on the floor. It was the worst feeling of my life,” she further added.
Notably, Ayesha’s son Tiger Shroff has established himself as one of the best action heroes in Bollywood. He has many interesting projects like actioner Ganapath, Karan Johar’s Screw Dheela and Heropanti 2 in the lineup.
