The violent protest that took place at Jamia Milia Islamia University has left many in shock. Students were beaten up by the police while the public property was damaged by the protestors. Students were protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Bill and it turned violent. Many have taken to social media to condemn the act done by the Delhi Police. Many even slammed students for getting violent. Stars like Rajkummar Rao, Koena Mitra, Raveena Tandon and others have shared their thoughts on it. 

Rajkummar Rao took to Twitter and wrote, "I strongly condemn the violence that the police have shown in dealing with the students. In a democracy the citizens have the right to peacefully protest.I also condemn any kind of act of destruction of the public properties. Violence is not the solution for anything!." Ex Bigg Boss contestant, Koena Mitra slammed students and wrote, "Dear Jamia students, these are not protests these are terror attacks! Ab saren victims ban gaye? Public properties jalana students ka kaam hai #ISupportDelhiPolice #JamiaMilia #CABProtests." 






Swara Bhasker who often tweets about the political scenario prevailing in the country tweeted, "Absolutely shameful conduct by @DelhiPolice." Chaapaak actor Vikrant Massey came out in support of the students and wrote, "This is a picture of students from #JamiaMilia holding photos of #Ambedkar & #Gandhi opposing the #CAA2019  We haven’t forgotten our roots. And we will fight to regain the lost sanity of this proud country 🇮🇳 #StandWithJamia #Delhiviolence." 





Earlier, Akshay Kumar called for controversy as he liked a video that mocked the students of Jamia. He had then taken to Twitter to say sorry and said that it happened by mistake.
