Janhvi Kapoor Says 'Wish U Were Here' As She Posts Pics From Mum Sridevi's Prayer Meet In Chennai
Today a prayer meeting was held in order to remember late actress Sridevi at her Chennai residence. Seen at the prayer meeting were late actress' husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Janhvi Kapoor. On this day, missing her mother, Janhvi wished for her mother’s presence in her life; the budding star penned some heartwarming words, which just left us feeling sorry for the young actress
Two years back on February 24, the sudden demise of female superstar Sridevi due to accidental drowning shook the nation. While on February 24 this year too, many celebs paid their tribute to the late actress on her second death anniversary, a special prayer meet has been held at late actress’ residence in Chennai. This prayer meet saw actress’s husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Janhvi Kapoor at her residence hosting the prayer meeting; along with some celebs from the South Film Industry also coming in to pay their tribute.
Taking to her Instagram account, Janhvi Kapoor shared a couple of pictures probably along with her relatives, smiling and laughing. Janhvi is seen with group of ladies. While she posts these pictures our heart goes out to her, as we read her caption to these pictures. In her post she wished for mother’s presence in her life and we definitely feel her longing for her late mother. Though the actress did not pen a long post, her short and sweet words did make us skip our heartbeat.
She captioned these pictures as, “Wish u were here”
Not seen at the prayer meet was Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s younger daughter Khushi Kapoor, who is currently pursuing her studies overseas. Sridevi passed away when she was in UAE to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding. She passed just before Janhvi Kapoor’s debut film Dhadak was about to hit the silver screen.
