Janhvi Kapoor, who made her debut with Karan Johar’s Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter, has an interesting line up of projects in the kitty. The actress, who often gets spotted outside her Pilates class, is gearing up for March 2020 release: Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. After spilling her magic in Bollywood, the actress is now all set for her South Debut. The Internet sensation is all set to make her big South debut opposite Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda. Yes, you heard that right!
According to online reports, Janhvi’s South debut, which is tentatively titled Fighter, will be directed by Puri Jagannadh. It is also being said that it was actress’ mentor Karan Johar who suggested Janhvi’s name to director Puri. A source close to the development revealed to Deccan Chronicle, “Even actresses such as Alia Bhatt and Ananya Pandey were approached for the part, but things did not materialise. However, Karan Johar was instrumental in getting Janhvi Kapoor on board. Reports were abuzz that South director Puri Jagannadh has joined hands with Karan Johar for pan-India release of his upcoming Telugu, which stars Vijay Devarakonda. Interestingly, Fighter will also mark Janhvi Kapoor’s dad and filmmaker Boney Kapoor's Telugu debut as a producer and Vijay Devarakonda's Bollywood debut.
