With Janta Curfew being observed today, several celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor expressed their gratitude to the real heroes, those working to keep the country going
Even though the threat of Covid-19 seems to get bigger and bigger each passing day, it’s heartening to see the whole country doing its bit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced Janta Curfew for 14 hours today, which has turned out to be a success as all the roads in the city looked deserted. Janta Curfew was an initiative by the Prime Minister to break the chain of Covid-19 and avoid any sort of gathering by imposing self isolation and staying home.
He also urged every person to express their gratitude towards the people working to keep the country going, by going out on their balconies or their doors at 5 pm on March 22, and clapping or banging their plates or by ringing bells. Now, celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Anil Kapoor also expressed their gratitude, and while ANil Kapoor was seen clapping from his balcony, the Bachchan family including Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Navya Nanda and others went to their rooftop and clapped from there.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said, “Be it doctors, nurses, hospital staff, housekeeping staff, airlines staff, government servants, police personnel, mediapersons, railways, bus, autorickshaw, home delivery people — they are serving others, by not taking care of themselves. They are… like protectors of the nation. The country is obliged to them.”
