Javed Akhtar Comes Out In Defence Of Priyanka Chopra, Says “Obviously Her Point Of View Will be An Indian Point Of View”
Priyanka Chopra is not just famous in India but globally, she has made a place for herself. Thanks to her Global icon image and philanthropy work, she became UNICEF’s Goodwill Ambassador for peace. Putting in a lot of effort, Priyanka is doing a great job helping people to live better. However, the recent tension between India and Pakistan has got her in trouble. At a BeautyCon in LA, Priyanka was called a hypocrite by a Pakistani woman. PeeCee made sure to give her a befitting reply. Pakistan’s Minister for Human Rights also wrote a letter to UNICEF asking for the removal of PeeCee from the position of the Goodwill Ambassador. Now, Priyanka has found some support in lyricist Javed Akhtar.

When asked about his views on this controversy, he quoted to PTI, “I know Priyanka Chopra personally. She is a cultured, decent and educated person and the fact remains she is an Indian. If there is some kind of controversy and difference in point of view between an average Indian citizen (like Priyanka Chopra) and the Pakistani establishment, obviously her point of view will be an Indian point of view. If her comments have upset the Pakistani establishment, they can do whatever they wish.”

Earlier, we had Ayushmann Khurrana talking out in Priyanka’s support. “Priyanka Chopra is representing our country very well. She is not an Indian icon, but a global icon. Being a daughter of an army officer she is a good representative of India,” he told reporters at AndhaDhun success bash.
