Ranveer Singh and Shalini Pandey starrer trailer of 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar' is finally out. Ranveer plays the role of a Gujarati boy, Shalini essays the role of his wife. Directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar, the film will take you on a roller coaster ride of humour and emotions. The actor's 'herogiri' will leave you impressed and wanting for more.
The film is set in Gujarat where Boman Irani, the father of Jayesh (played by Ranveer Singh) is desperate for a male heir. Ratna Pathak Shah is playing the role of Ranveer's mother in the film. Later, it is shown that Jayesh's wife (Shalini Pandey) is expecting a girl child. Ranveer then decides to flee with his pregnant wife and first daughter.
The movie shows how Ranveer fights against all odds to stand up for his wife and puts forward a point about gender equality. Ranveer as a Gujarati boy has nailed it and how! Shalini has also delivered an impeccable performance. Jayeshbhai Jordaar promises to take everyone on a ride of emotions. Ranveer shared the trailer on Instagram and fans are impressed by his act. A fan dropped a comment saying, "U r the best." Another one commented, "Woooooooowwwwww." A third one wrote, "You always do rocking performance bro."
Earlier, talking about the film, Ranveer said, "Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a unique experience because it has pushed me into becoming a character with no reference point in Hindi Cinema. Jayeshbhai is not your typical hero. He discover heroism when he is pushed to the brink, and according to me, he is one of the most lovable heroes in Hindi cinema."
Jayeshbhai Jordaar is produced by Maneesh Sharma and is all set to be released on May 13, 2022.
