Arunoday Singh, who got married to his Canadian girlfriend Lee Elton in December 2016, announced that he and his wife have decided to part ways, mutually in May 2019. The couple tried hard to hold onto their marriage for long but finally decided to call it quits. Now the latest news regarding their divorce suggests that Lee has challenged the divorce granted by the family court in Jabalpur High Court and has demanded the cancellation of the decree of divorce, as reported by Dainik Bhaskar. In 2019, the family court granted them divorce but now she has moved to High Court. Reportedly, Lee Elton mentioned in her plea that Arunoday Singh was granted a divorce after a unilateral hearing on December 18, 2019. While the Jism 2 actor's plea mentioned a dispute over dogs. However, now the next hearing will be held on October 6.
In May 2019, Arunoday released an official statement which read, “My marriage seems to be over. Turns out we were very good at love, but couldn't survive the reality. Despite our best efforts, professional counseling and current trial separation, nothing seems to have helped bridge the fundamental differences that have emerged between us. It seems wiser to let go. I think we both deserve better. We shall try to resolve this with compassion and dignity."
The couple had a dream wedding in Singh’s hometown Bhopal. Before walking down the aisle, the couple dated each other fora two-and-a-half-year.
Arunoday Singh made his debut in Bollywood with Sikandar in 2009, also starring as Zahageer Qadir. He then went on to work in films like Aisha led by Sonam Kapoor, Main Tera Hero starring Varun Dhawan, Ileana D’Cruz and Nargis Fakhri, Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro.
