JNU Violence: Anubhav Sinha On SRK, Aamir, Salman Khan Not Speaking Up: ‘Don’t Think Those 3 Can Speak’
The Citizenship Amendment Act’s after effect came in JNU attack after the protest of the students of Jamia Millia. Many Bollywood celebs like Swara Bhasker, Riteish Deshmukh, Rajukummar Rao, Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Richa Chadha, to name a few have come out in open and expressed their rage on their social media handle. In fact, yesterday, Chhapaak actress Deepika Padukone also went to Delhi to stand in solidarity with Jawaharlal Nehru University’s President Aishe Ghosh. However, there are many celebs who still haven’t broken their silence on the JNU Violence. Speaking of which, director Anubhav Sinha has something to say about the same and this involves Bollywood’s three Khans – Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman.

Anubhav Sinha many times have taken it to his social media handle and expressed his disappointment on the same. Recently, Anubhav Sinha got in touch with Quint where he not only spoke about his anger for Bollywood not speaking up but also took a subtle jibe on Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan for not coming out in open and speaking about the brutal sudden attack that shook the nation. He feels that the three Khans cannot speak on JNU violence and somewhere hinting towards their religion. He said, “Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir, I don't think those three can speak. I don't think if I should say it in a democratic country that we live in supposedly, I should not be discriminating based on religion but let that remain suggestive.”

He further said, “But you have seen what happened to Shah Rukh when he used a word like 'intolerance' or what happened to Aamir Khan when he was telling a benign story about his wife and people selectively picked up one half of the statement, so I'm not even talking about them losing contracts which are fine, they can afford to lose contracts. Only people who get trolled that viciously will know what it means. Suddenly, you are identified with your religion, I'm not saying it is impossible to still speak up but I fully understand why they can't or maybe they shouldn't.”

Sinha even expressed his rage on Bollywood industry not speaking up, he said, “But the rest of the industry- they have not been subscribing to newspapers, they have not been watching the news. I don't know what's going on. So yeah, I'm angry about it. There should be more people talking beside, Swara and Richa, the usual suspects.”
