Kajol’s Bekhudi Co-Star Kamal Sadanah To Divorce Estranged Wife Lisa John; Says, ‘Two People Grow Apart’

Actor Kajol’s Bekhudi co-star Kamal Sadanah and Lisa John tied the knot on January 1, 2000. They share two children, son Angath and daughter Leia. However, now, it is said the couple is set to end their 21 years of marriage. According to a report in TOI, Kamal has confirmed that divorce is on the cards. Currently, Lisa and Kamal are staying separately as the former jetted off to Goa to live with her parents, on the other hand, the actor is staying in Mumbai.
The reports further state that the separation has not been an amicable one. Speaking about his divorce, Kamal told the publication, “Two people grow apart and go in different directions. Such things are happening all over and ours was one of those.” Lisa is a make-up artist while Kamal made his debut opposite Kajol in Bekhudi in 1992. Later, he went on to feature in the hit film Rang and several other movies in the 90s. Sadanah even made his directorial debut with Roar in 2014 which did not fare well at the box office.
Around the time of the release of Roar also starring Abhinav Shukla, Kamal Sadanah called marrying Lisa John was the best thing he ever did. “If marrying Lisa was the best thing I did, then making Roar would have to rank as the second-best move in my life. It’s a relief to leave my acting career behind. My heart was never in acting,” Bollywood Hungama quoted him as saying.
Speaking of divorces, recently, actor Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao had announced their split after 15 years of marriage. They released a joint statement saying, ‘This divorce is not an end, but the start of a new journey’.
