An anonymous actor from the movie, speaking to Zoom due to a non-disclosure agreement, expressed confidence that viewers will acknowledge the evolution of Indian cinema upon witnessing the film's content. A source told Zoom,"There are too many loose ends yet to be tied up. The post-production is not complete. And the special effects are still in progress. It is doubtful whether they can make it on May 9, even if they rush. And no one is in the mood to speed up the process just to make it on time. This film is too precious to be timebound."
Unfortunately, the latest update on the release of Kalki's 2898 AD from Hyderabad is not optimistic. Reliable sources suggest that the movie may not hit theatres as scheduled on May 9, adding to Prabhas' recent streak of film release challenges with Salaar and Adipurush.
The sci-fi film that was earlier titled Project K is set in the future with Prabhas cast in the role of saviour. Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the film also stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in key roles.
