@aamir_khan— Kangana Ranaut (@KanganaTeam) October 23, 2020
Kangana Ranaut hit the headline once again as she was accused of spreading communal disharmony. It was reported that a criminal complaint has been filed in the Andheri Magistrate Court against Kangana Ranaut for sedition. According to PTI, Kangana was accused of sedition and causing disharmony between two religious groups. While reacting to the FIR against her, Kangana took a dig at Aamir Khan’s old remarks about the rising intolerance in the country.
Kangana had been hitting the headlines ever since her office in Pali Hill, Mumbai, was partially demolished by the BMC officials. Now, referring to that, as well as the criminal complaint against her, Kangana mentioned in her tweet about the pain and struggle that she is going through. She then tagged Aamir Khan and hinted at his ‘rising intolerance’ remarks from back in 2015, asking how much pain the ‘intolerance gang’ has gone through in this nation.
@aamir_khan (The way Rani Lakshmibai’s fort was broken, my house was also broken; the way Veer Savarkar was put in jail for rebellion, they are trying their best to send me to jail as well. Someone should go and ask the intolerance gang about how much pain they have gone through in this intolerant nation).” Take a look at her tweet below:
In 2015, Aamir Khan had faced backlash for saying that he was alarmed over the rising intolerance in the country, and that his wife Kiran Rao had even suggested leaving the country. However, Aamir had later issued a statement wherein he said that he didn’t plan on leaving the country. "Anyone implying the opposite has either not seen my interview or is deliberately trying to distort what I have said. India is my country, I love it, I feel fortunate for being born here, and this is where I am staying," the actor had stated.
