Netizens brutally troll Kangana Ranaut for saying country is biased towards ‘Khans and Muslim actors amidst Pathaan’s success
Bollywood’s undisputed queen Kangana Ranaut lately has been making headlines for taking nasty digs at Shah Rukh Khan’s recent release Pathaan. A few days ago, she attacked the film alleging it showed the enemy country Pakistan and ISIS in good light. Now, in her recent tweet, the actress talked about Pathaan’s box office success and mentioned that the country is biased towards ‘Khans and Muslim actors. Ranaut is receiving severe backlash on social media for her hateful comment.
The 35-year-old actress, who recently returned to Twitter, reacted to a user who analyzed why SRK’s Pathaan emerged as a box-office success. Re-tweeting the post, Kangana wrote, “Very good analysis… this country has only and only loved all Khans and at times only and only Khans… And obsessed over Muslim actresses, so it’s very unfair to accuse India of hate and fascism … there is no country like Bharat in the whole world (heart eyes, joined hands emojis).” Soon after she tweeted this, she came under the radar of trolls who slammed the actress for spreading hate. One Twitter user wrote, “To look at everything thru a jaundiced eye of Muslim and non-Muslim is the disease you have. Its deep and it rots the inside of ones being. When do you divide Indians into Khans/ Muslims. IT IS HATE you are displaying at the core. They are merely Indians. Why are you labeling them?.” Another said, “So you’re saying you’re not part of this country? All you did is attack the Khans for no reason (and others too to be fair to you) and have always played the religion card by calling anything and everything Hinduphobic.”
Previously, the Tanu Weds Manu actress had said “Pathaan sirf ek film ho sakti hai… goonjega toh yahan sirf Jai Shri Ram… Jai Shri Ram.”
Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Pathaan’ also starred Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, and Ashutosh Rana. The film created history by collecting a whopping Rs.106 crore worldwide on its opening day.
