Kangana Ranaut, who has been winning hearts as Jaya Nigam in Panga across the country, has been honored with The Padma Shri for excellence in the field of performing arts. The list of awardees for the year 2020 was announced by the Government Of India on the eve of Republic Day 2020. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian award in the Republic Of India and Kangana rightfully deserves this honour.
A visibly elated Kangana expressed her gratitude and says, "I’m humbled and I’m honored. I thank my country for this recognition and I dedicate this to every woman who dares to dream. To every daughter, to every mother, and to the dreams of women who will shape the future of our country."
The extremely talented Kangana has earlier received three national awards for her outstanding work in films. Fashion, Tanu Weds Manu and Queen saw Kangana being recognised by the National Film Awards. But it isn't only Kangana but her team Panga too is elated with this latest development.
