Kangana Ranaut Ends Nepotism Fight With KJo, Wishes Fellow Padma Awardee, 'He Rose To Top Because Of Own Efforts'
Kangana Ranaut was recently been honoured with The Padma Shri award for excellence in the field of performing arts. Even filmmaker Karan Johar has been conferred with The Padma Shri award for excellence in art. A visibly elated Kangana even expressed her gratitude and said, "I’m humbled and I’m honoured.” But interestingly, the actress even had some warm wishes for her once-rival Karan Johar. Yes, remember how Kangana sparked the debate of nepotism and called KJo the flag bearer in his own show, Koffee With Karan, since then the relation between the two have not been on good terms. In almost every event, the two used to make cryptic remarks on each other which obviously grabbed a lot of attention. However, the torchbearer of nepotism in Bollywood Ranaut has now seemed to have buried the hatchet with KJo as she was all praises for her fellow Padma Awardee.

In the recent interview with India Today, the Panga actress congratulated him and said that he has worked to achieve the position he is right now. While talking to the portal, the actress was quoted saying, “I heartily congratulate him. I think he totally deserves this award. As a producer, the kind of films he backs, whether it is Kesari or Good Newwz, are commendable, as is the position he has worked to achieve. Even though his father gave him a head start, he has risen to the top because of his own efforts and merits. I started my journey from a small village in Himachal Pradesh, and for me to be in the same league as these bigwigs we have grown up watching, whether it is Karan’s films or Ekta Kapoor’s serials...”

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Panga which gained immense appreciation from not only the critics but from the movie buffs also. The film has collected Rs. 14.91 crores at the box office, despite clashing with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Street Dancer 3D.
