Kangana Ranaut Was Asked To Audition In "Satin Robe With No Undergarments" For A Pahlaj Nihalani Film

Manikarnika actress Kangana Ranaut has been attacking Bollywood fraternity, left right and centre. After Alia Bhatt and Aamir Khan, the actress has now accused filmmaker Pahlaj Nihalani for making her pose in a satin robe without undergarments for a film’s photo shoot. Kangana, who’s known for her bold and fierce attitude in the industry, doesn’t believe in mincing words.

During an interaction with Mid-day, the actress spoke about her journey, and her choice of cinema. She recalled an incident wherein Pahlaj Nihalani had offered her a film, and for the initial photo shoot, she had to pose in just a robe.

Ms Ranaut told the leading daily, “The fact that people met, and promised to guide, help, but then I was put under house-arrest. And then Pahlaj Nihalani had offered me a film called I Love You Boss. They had a photo-shoot where they gave me a robe to wear, and no undergarments. So I just had a satin robe for a show-girl pose, from which I had to stick my leg out, coming out of darkness.”

She further added, “They should at least have given some tapes. I was supposed to play a young girl lusting after her middle-aged boss. So it was a soft-porn sort of character. And I had this epiphany that I can't do this. I felt like this is exactly what my parents were talking about.”

Apart from this, the actress also reacted on being offered Deepika Padukone starrer Padmaavat. She told the leading tabloid, “Oh, yes. In fact, we had a brief meeting for Padmaavat (2018). He narrated me the script.” On being asked if SLB had actually offered her the film, she said, “Yes. There was this conversation, and I was doing Manikarnika then, so it didn't go anywhere. But we had a brief narration. Before that as well, he wanted me to do the Ram-Leela song. He is a filmmaker who can leave strong impressions on you, especially if you are a fresh mind.”

On the work front, the Queen actress will be seen next in Ekta Kapoor’s Mental Hai Kya, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga, and will start work on Jayalalithaa biopic by September this year.
