Kangana Ranaut Reacts As Bombay High Court Refuses Javed Akhtar’s Intervention In Passport Renewal Case; Actor Thanks Court After The Hearing
According to a report, the Bombay High court recently refused to hear lyricist Javed Akhtar’s plea in Kangana Ranaut’s passport renewal case. The Manikarnika actress has now reacted to the decision
Bollywood lyricist Javed Akhtar and actor Kangana Ranaut have been making headlines for some time now. Akhtar had filed a defamation suit against the actress. It was recently that Kangana’s passport needed to be renewed. However, the actress faced some difficulties during the process because of the FIRs filed against her. In the meantime, Javed Akhtar moved the High court claiming that Ranaut is giving misleading statements before the court, to get favourable orders for her passport renewal process. According to a report, the Bombay High court recently refused to hear lyricist Javed Akhtar’s plea in Kangana Ranaut’s passport renewal case.
The Manikarnika actress has now reacted to the decision. Taking to her Instagram stories, Kangana Ranaut shared a screenshot of the report and wrote, “Movie mafia trying to prove there is no harassment of any outsider at all by shamelessly harassing an outsider..... Thank you Bombay HC (sic)” The actress thanked the Bombay High court for squashing Akhtar’s plea and refusing his intervention in the passport renewal case.

Earlier, on Monday, the court refused to hear Javed Akhtar’s interim application in Kangana Ranaut’s quashing petition regarding the Didda Copyright Row. The court asked him to approach the complainant or the public prosecutor as he was not a party in the present proceedings, according to a report in LiveLaw.
