Zaira Wasim, in December 2017, had accused a co-passenger of molesting her while on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai. The former Bollywood actress had recorded a live Instagram video of the same. This incident had happened when she was a minor. Yesterday, it was reported that Vikash Sachdeva, who was accused of molesting Zaira Wasim on-flight, had been convicted and sent to a three-year-imprisonment. Now, Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel has tweeted that she is extremely proud of Zaira for going through so much hassle at a young age and fighting back.

Kangana Ranaut’s sister, Rangoli Chandel, took to her Twitter handle, and called Zaira Wasim ‘Bharat Ki Beti’ in the tweet. She hailed her for fighting against harassment and said that she has a lot of fire in her. The Mumbai-based accused, 41-year-old Vikash Sachdeva was convicted in a special POSCO Court. The court held the man under Section 8 of the Protection of Child from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act and Section 354 (dealing with assault or criminal force used with the intent to outrage a woman's modesty) of the IPC.


In her live video, Zaira Wasim had said that a middle-aged man sitting behind her in the flight kept nudging her shoulder and moved his foot up and down her back. She had informed the flight staff, but they hadn’t helped her.
